The Gainsborough Hotel needs to sort out your water heating system, so hot water is guaranteed. We were badly affected one evening when rain had flooded the basement without staff having noticed the flood nor the subsequent short circuit created in the hot water system. Night staff were inadequate in their response to our enquiry as to the reason of the absence of hot water. It was only our insistence that made staff look into the problem.
Also, in the room, there were not enough sockets in places where they were needed. A guest should not have to grapple with multi-blocks hidden behind the fridge, nor should anyone have to move the kettle to the bedside table in order to reach a socket.
