I went with my family. The hotel is very well located, near hyde park and the underground.
The confort of the rooms aren't the best but you can stay quite well. And the breakfast is very poor, and the same every day.

The breakfast was disappointing. Cold coffee, cold and too long boiled eggs, no fruit or yoghurt, broken table. The bed was covered by old fashioned blankets, which can cause allergetic reactions. There was no wardrobe in the room to store oure clothes in. The balcony door couldn't be locked properly because of a lack of maintenance.

They offer you the Ascott Hyde Park Hotel and once you are there they send you to another hotel of less quality, further of the city centre and with no other option rather than seay goodbye and look for another place to stay...rubish!!!

We slept in a kitchen - or at least it felt like it. Staff was rude and the hotel was very dirty. The towels in hour room had signs of escrements on them and there were no hot water for the whole time we stayed there. After 2 nights we had enough of this hotel and checked out and found another hotel. My advice to others: Don't stay here!

We booked a quad room and ended up with 2 dubbles in the annex! The rooms and toilets were very clean, but there were nowhere to put the clothes! Breakfast was surprisingly good. Staff at the reception not very polite, bad manners!
If you just want a place to sleep for a couple of nights, I would recommend it.

From the Gatwick airport it takes over an hour to get to the hotel. Other than that, it was okay. Good resturants surrounding the hotel.

Really close too Paddington station. Room is accapteble when you are there only for sleeping. There is a bad, but there is no plug for the bad: when asked for one, the (friendly) staff told us that they did not provide that services.

I could suggest this hotel for 2 persons. But never for a family, one room for 4 people.

Breakfest room crowded around 8 a clock. Long waiting time for elevator. Only elevator to the fourth floor not to the fifth. In practice only one rescue way in case of fire.
